|Name:||St Catherine’s School Garden|
|Description:||“The garden runs the entire length of the school and is used to grow food that is shared by the school population. We plant seeds inside the school under lights in April and May and then students plant the garden in May and June. The garden is maintained over the summer by volunteers on Wednesday nights between 6 and 8pm. The 400 students in the school will harvest the garden in Sept, Oct and Nov.
The food is used to eat fresh (tomatoes, cukes, beans) and to cook into a harvest sauce for a school wide lunch in October. The garden is put to rest for the winter in early November.”
